MEETING WITH THE DELEGATION OF UKRAINE

On 24 June, 2019 the National Ozone Unit of the Ministry of Environment of Armenia hosted a delegation of Ukraine. The general goal of the study visit was therefore to get exposed to the experience of the Republic of Armenia in ozone layer protection and present  the  relevant activity of the Ukrainian part. Deputy Minister Irina Ghaplanyan touched upon the sectorial aspects of the two countries, expressing hope that the visit would be mutually beneficial and efficient.

During the QA Session the participants were provided with information on the legal framework of the sector, the financial aspects and the logistics base. In the second part of the meeting a professional visit was paid to the Yerevan Brandy Company, where the participants got exposed to the company’s experience in shifting away from ozone depleting substances ahead of the national regulations and the application of cooling systems operating according to the European standards. Visitors to the factory were accompanied by the deputy chief engineer and the refrigeration systems operator who presented their experience accordingly.
